TOPCAR is a Russian tuning house and its Porsche 991 GTR Carbon Edition is a true work of art (clearly)! But before we get into the details about their latest piece of work, let’s learn what TOPCAR did prior to the Porsche 991 GTR Carbon Edition.

The Porsche 911 Turbo Stinger GTR by TOPCAR debuted at the 2014 Moscow Auto Show

And it is really quite attractive!

The Moscow-based company created custom body kits and worked on the engine of the Porsche 991-based Turbo and Turbo S models, thus creating the 911 Turbo Stinger GTR. This car was pretty bonkers in its own right and made its public debut at the 2014 Moscow Auto Show. The Turbo models received special Stinger GTR body kits which meant unique carbon-kevlar components such as modified bumpers, wheel arches and aerodynamic side skirts, apart from reworked doors and a flashier rear spoiler.

Mafia bosses would surely love this Porsche

The standard Turbo and Turbo S models get a 3.8-litre flat six turbocharged petrol engine which makes 520 PS and 560 PS respectively. However, TOPCAR managed to screw out another 60-odd horsepower and 130 Nm of torque from the engines of these two supercars. The standard models cover the 0-100 km/h stint in 3.2 and 3.1 seconds, respectively; expect the Stinger GTR versions to be even quicker.

It looks nothing less than spectacular no matter which angle you look at it from

Now, let us bring our attention back to what’s new; the Porsche 991 GTR Carbon Edition. The Carbon Edition is almost similar to the earlier Stinger models of the Porsche 911, except this one looks drop-dead sensuous and you better like people clicking pictures of your car if you plan to purchase one of these black beauties. TOPCAR has gone about replacing almost each and every exterior body panel of the car. So in place of the ‘run-of-the-mills’ factory materials, the Russian tuning house has laid 24 brand-new carbon-fibre components. TOPCAR has also thrown in brushed gold elements on the steering wheel, centre console, door panels and handles, and some on the dashboard as well. The Porsche 991 GTR Carbon Edition also comes with carbon-fibre bits in the cabin and Nappa leather upholstery; the latter comes embellished with custom yellow contrast stitching too.

The interior is simply bathed in opulence!

Just like with the Stinger GTR cars, the GTR Carbon Edition of the Porsche 911 gets a thorough makeover on the outside; this includes new front and rear bumpers, special ADV.1 alloy wheels, uprated aero-kits including a redesigned rear spoiler, rear diffuser and quad exhaust pipes. All these exotic cosmetics aside, the Porsche 991 GTR Carbon Edition remains almost completely identical to the earlier Stinger GTR 911s, therefore don’t expect much gain in the performance department (though a slight gain can’t be ruled out).

Enough evidences to prove that this one’s a Turbo S 991

All these flashy and exciting bits aside, let us get to the most exciting bit of the Porsche 991 GTR Carbon Edition – its price. The model shown in the pictures is the Turbo S variant of the Porsche 991 GTR Carbon Edition, and it is priced at a whopping €290,000 or appx INR 2.05 crore! Of course, this elephantine price of the car also includes a €10,000 (7-odd lakh rupees) installation cost that’s charged by TOPCAR. Anyway, excuse yourself from these mundane talks about extravagant expenses and focus on the sheer beauty that this Porsche is! Don’t forget to leave your thoughts/opinions in the comments box below. Enjoy!
